View full detailsScott Nelles creates cast bronze sculptures. Cast metal toy cars, boats, and airplanes take him back to his childhood in Detroit, where his father, a manufacturer's representative, would take Scott on factory tours. The dramatic sight and heat of molten metal became a part of his soul, and the excitement of the foundry process never left him.
Although the lost-wax method of creating bronze sculptures is widely known, Scott has adopted a unique approach to his craft. He utilizes the lesser-known sand-casting method, which gives life to his artistic vision and sparks curiosity in those who appreciate his creations.
